Westward Partners Acquires Marlin Holdings

SEATTLE, WA, June 16, 2017 - Westward Partners ("Westward"), today announced the acquisition of the assets of Marlin Holdings (1987) Ltd. ("Marlin" or the "Company") by its portfolio company, Curtis Construction Ltd. ("Curtis"). Marlin was the 50% Joint Venture partner in the Naicam pesticide container recycling business that Curtis and Marlin began 25+ years ago and has since grown into the premier recycler of plastic containers for the farming industry in Alberta and Saskatchewan. The acquisition coincides with Curtis' continued investment in modernizing and upgrading its recycling capabilities to better serve its key customers and expand its services to allow for an expanded list of containers and plastic products that are recycled in the future. Curtis acquired 100% of the assets of Marlin.

"The acquisition of Marlin's assets and the 50% JV partner allows Curtis to fully control its plastic container recycling business and continue its investment efforts in the Naicam operations for future growth and expansion" said Westward Founder and Partner, Erik Tolzmann. "The JV has enjoyed a 25+ year working relationship and owning 100% will expand the stable cash flow stream it provides and provide for future growth avenues."
