Westward Partners' Portfolio Company JMB Crushing Systems Acquires Kalinko Enterprises

SEATTLE, WA, June 14, 2012- Westward Partners ("Westward"), a leading smaller middle market private equity firm, today announced the acquisition of Kalinko Enterprises ("Kalinko" or the "Company") by its portfolio company, JMB Crushing Systems ("JMB"). Based on the terms of the transaction, JMB acquired a majority of the assets of Kalinko and entered into long-term leases on over 7 million tons of aggregate held by Kalinko.

"The acquisition of Kalinko nearly doubles JMB's supply base of aggregate which now positions JMB as one of the leading suppliers of oilfield aggregate in Northeast Alberta," said Westward Founder, Erik Tolzmann. "We continue to seek additional supply sources in anticipation of continued strong demand from major oil companies in JMB's region. We are working on a number of supply deals at the moment."
