Westward Partners Acquires Alberta-Based Aggregate Business, JMB Crushing Systems

SEATTLE, WA, June 1, 2011, - Westward Partners ("Westward"), a leading smaller middle market private equity firm, today announced its acquisition of a majority stake in Alberta-based JMB Crushing Systems ("JMB" or the "Company"), a leader in aggregate mining, crushing, sales, and transportation services for oil and gas and municipal customers in Alberta, Canada. JMB represents Westward's second acquisition in Western North America in 6 months.

In business for over 25 years, JMB has a long history of providing the world's leading energy companies with the aggregate utilized in the infrastructure projects in the oil sands region of Alberta.
